Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11 July 2026

Not legal advice - drafted using publicly available UK GDPR / Data Protection Act 2018 guidance, including the ICO's 2026 data protection complaints requirements, and general principles of EU GDPR for our customers based in the EU. Has not been reviewed by a solicitor or data protection specialist. Worth a professional check before publishing, particularly if you start using analytics, ads, or new tools not listed in Section 4, or if EU or other international customers become a significant part of the business.

1. Who we are

This policy explains how Life Mode Fitness (operated by Jenkin Lee, sole trader) collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you visit lifemodefitness.com or buy the Simple Strength course, wherever in the world you're located.

For the purposes of UK GDPR, Jenkin Lee, trading as Life Mode Fitness, is the data controller. Because we sell to customers globally, including in the EU, EU GDPR may also apply to our processing of your data in addition to UK GDPR where relevant - in practice the two regimes are near-identical, so this policy is written to satisfy both.

2. What personal data we collect

Depending on how you interact with the Site, we may collect:

Contact details: name and email address (e.g. when you buy the Course, sign up to a mailing list, or contact us).

Order and payment information: what you purchased, when, and the amount paid. We do not collect or store your full card number, expiry date, or CVV - these go directly to Stripe, our payment processor.

Course activity data: your progress through the Course (e.g. lessons completed), stored by our course platform, Systeme.io.

Technical data: IP address, browser type, and basic usage data collected automatically by the Site and our hosting platform.

Anything you send us directly: for example, if you email us with a question or support request.

We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

3. Why we use your data, and our legal basis

Processing your purchase and giving you access to the Course - necessary to perform our contract with you.

Sending purchase confirmations and access details - necessary to perform our contract with you.

Sending the optional 2-week check-in email and related follow-ups about the Course - legitimate interest in supporting customers who've bought the Course.

Sending marketing emails about other offers (only if you've opted in) - consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Keeping records for tax and accounting purposes - legal obligation.

Improving the Site and our Products - legitimate interest.

4. Who we share your data with

We share limited personal data with the following third parties, only as needed to run the business:

Stripe - processes your payment. See Stripe's privacy policy for how they handle your data.

Systeme.io - hosts the Site, the Course, checkout, and sends transactional/marketing emails on our behalf. See Systeme.io's privacy policy for details.

Google Workspace - powers our business email (hello@lifemodefitness.com); if you email us, that message is processed through Google's systems.

HMRC, where required by law for tax and accounting purposes.

We do not sell your personal data to anyone, and we don't share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

(If we start using additional tools - for example, website analytics or ad tracking - this section and the Cookies section below will be updated to name them before they go live.)

5. International transfers

Because we sell globally, your data may be processed in a different country to the one you live in, including the United Kingdom, where we're based, and wherever our providers (including Stripe and Systeme.io) host their systems. Where this happens, it's done under recognised legal safeguards, such as the UK's or EU's international data transfer agreements, standard contractual clauses, or equivalent protections required under UK GDPR and EU GDPR.

6. How long we keep your data

Order and payment records: kept for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes (currently 6 years under UK tax record-keeping rules), even if you later ask us to delete other data we hold about you.

Marketing email list: kept until you unsubscribe or we no longer have a reason to keep it.

Course progress data: kept for as long as your account with our course platform remains active.

7. Cookies

The Site uses cookies necessary for it to function - for example, to keep you logged into the Course and to process checkout securely, via our platform provider Systeme.io. We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies.

(If that changes - for example, adding Google Analytics or a Meta Pixel - a cookie consent banner and a more detailed cookie table will need to be added here before those tools go live, to stay compliant.)

8. Your rights

Under UK GDPR and (for EU customers) EU GDPR, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.

Correct inaccurate data.

Erase your data, in certain circumstances.

Restrict or object to certain processing.

Data portability - receive your data in a portable format.

Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent (e.g. marketing emails - just use the unsubscribe link, or email us).

If you live outside the UK and EU, your local law may give you similar or additional rights (for example, some US states, including California, have their own privacy laws). We'll honour reasonable requests about your data regardless of where you're based - email us and we'll do our best under whichever law applies to you.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@lifemodefitness.com. We'll respond within one month, as required by law.

9. How to complain

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your personal data, please contact us first at hello@lifemodefitness.com - we want the chance to put it right. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and aim to resolve it as quickly as possible, in line with UK data protection complaints requirements.

If you're not satisfied with our response, or you'd prefer to go straight to the regulator, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO):

10. Children's privacy

The Site and our Products are not intended for, and are not knowingly marketed to, anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we start using a new tool or the law changes. We'll update the "last updated" date at the top when we do. Significant changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
